DABOLTS - A blog for the San Diego Chargers

Keeping tabs on the San Diego Chargers throughout the season

With all the hype that was surrounding the Subway event in San Marcos on June 14th it was easy to be dissappointed with the autopgraph opportunity. While many Chargers fans were disappointed, I was not. The event was a fund raising event, the admission was $10 (which include a 6″ sub and 21oz. drink), and there were Chargers players signing autographs. If anything I was more dissappointed with the people that did show up. Many people did not stop by the Freedom is not free booth to donate money.

My day there started around 8:45am, yes I bought into the hype and wanted to get there early. The gates were to open at 9:00am, unfortunately they did not open until 10:00am because the vendors were late. I was about in the middle of the line.

On June 14, 2008, many San Diego Chargers players will be in San Marcos, CA for the 1st Annual Subway Feast. The event is a fundraising event with the proceeds benefiting Freedom is not Free. For more information about Freedom is not Free please visti their website at http://www.freedomisnotfree.com. I will be attending the event and taking pictures to post on my blog. The subway is located off Highway 78 at the Twin Oak Valley Exit. It is right next to the LA Fitness.
